In October 2019 Desco introduced the Statfree® T2 Plus to replace Statfree® T2. The NEW Statfree® T2 Plus was designed with a new compound to limit oil absorption (usually from operators arms resting on the material) into the mat that would cause the edge of the mat to curl.
Statfree® T2 Plus, like the previous Statfree® T2 mats, also has UV additives in the compound that ensure ESD performance over time. A 2012 InCompliance article titled – Early Life Failure of Dissipative Workstation Mats based on a study at Plexus in Neenah, WI found that ESD mat materials exposed to UV lighting commonly used in electronics manufacturing causes the ESD properties of the material to degrade more rapidly.
Statfree® T2 Plus offers a lifetime warranty on the electrical properties of the material and is made in the USA.
Statfree® T2 Plus is available in Blue, Dark Blue, Grey, and Green colors. It is available in rolls (20 and 40 foot), pre-cut mats (24×36, 24×48, 30×60, 30×72, & 36×72), pre-cut mat kits that include grounding hardware(24×36, 24×48, 30×60, 30×72, & 36×72), and 16×24 tray liners.
